Vasso Floridi / Editing

She was born, raised, and currently resides in Thessaloniki. In September 1999, she graduated with a degree in directing from the Lykourgos Stavrakos School of Greek Cinema & Television in Athens. Alongside her studies, she worked as an assistant editor on short and feature films as well as documentaries.

In 2014, she worked as an editor on the documentary "Confusion / Diffusion" directed by Floros Floridis and Jeanine Meerapfel. The first audiovisual screening of this work took place at the Academy of Arts in Berlin (Akademie der Künste in Berlin) in January 2015.

In 2019, she curated "Moving Sand / Topos," an audiovisual essay combining video with music, dance, and text, which was first officially presented at the Academy of Arts in Berlin (Akademie der Künste in Berlin) in May 2019.

In 2020, she began collaborating with director Kostas Ainian on the documentary "Dimitris, Nikos... and the Beginning of Uncertainty," which was screened at international film festivals.

In 2021, she collaborated with director Jeanine Meerapfel on editing the film "A Woman," which premiered at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival in November 2021.

In 2023, she collaborated with director Lydia Konsta on editing the documentary "One Two Years."

Collaborations

In 2000, she started working at the audiovisual production company ICON PLUS as an editor and assistant producer. During this decade-long collaboration, she edited the documentary series "Balkan Negotiator" directed by Apostolos Kryonas for ERT 3, "The Ancient Theaters of the Balkans" directed by Petros Palamas for ERT 3, as well as video presentations for the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Tourism Development of Greece.

In April 2011, she completed her first personal work, "The Tree," a video installation showcased at the "Athens Video Art Festival 2011."

She was the exclusive editor for ERT's daily broadcasts for the Thessaloniki Film Festival and documentaries for four years (2011 - 2015). Her work continued for ERT's programs as an editor on the documentaries "Places of Life, Places of Ideas" (2011), directed by G. Keramidiotis.

Since November 2015, she has been working at the audiovisual production company Seagull Space as a freelance editor on archaeological and environmental documentaries covering regions throughout Greece.

She has also curated videos for the National Gallery of Greece and the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki.
